Creative Producer. Facilitator. Writer.
Community Builder. Theatre Maker.
Hello there…
I am an Artsworker currently based on Gubbi Gubbi Country (Sunshine Coast).
As an adaptable human, I work across a range of creative roles and projects with a proven track record in festivals, events, placemaking and within arts organisations.
I love storytelling in all forms with a particular fondness for theatre performance, live music and spoken word poetry.
Producing a project through all its phases, from ideation and planning to funding and delivery makes my heart sing, but I am available to join your project at any stage.
I enjoy the process as much as the outcome.
The bigger the challenge, the more excited I get.
What attracts me to working in the Arts industry is its unrivalled capacity to change how we look at the world, how we view the places we live and importantly, how we see each other.
Growing up in Adelaide, I was witness to the transformative power of the Arts when the Adelaide Fringe Festival would turn a city known for churches and quiet living into the late night revelry of loud music, theatre, circus, ideas and laughter, as the city swelled with buskers, artists, performers and comedians from all over the globe.
The magic of the artistic transformation of my home town never really left me and in a way, every creative project I work on is my small attempt to recreate that type of magic for others to experience.
Before my career in the Arts, I was a lawyer and a community educator so I have a well developed eye for detail, an instinct for advocacy, skills in mediation and facilitation and a pretty good bullshit radar. All of which come in pretty handy as a producer…and in life ;-)
I am always looking for new projects and collaborators, so if you are curious and need a freelancer, drop me a line.
